Panasonic 50UT Plasma : USB Question

Hi, I got a new Panasonic 50UT Plasma TV . IT supports USB to direct movie on the TV .

But Im not able to find out, how to see the subtitles .

Anyone ?

I have the movie file and the sub title file ready , but dont know, how to see it.

I renamed the subtitle file name exactly same as movie file name and put both in the same folder. After this I'm able to see subtitle by entering options button and on subtitle option.

I did the same , but I dont see the OPTION > SUBTITLE option.

It is not in Option. It is in Menu somewhere.

Which type of file ur trying ? I'm not sure but yesterday I tried mp4 but didn't see subtitle option but for mkv file I can see that. Can you try mkv file and verify ?

With mp4 file you can't incorporate subtitle file...only mkv,avi have this option.

I only have mkv or avi files. It's not showing any subtitle options.

You need to mux subtitle(.srt) with .mkv. Just google on how to do that.

You bought a tv based on pic quality not on media playing capability..don't scratch your head on this ..get a decent media player..it will serve your need on media playback well.

For muxing use mkvmerge gui...make sure under File-->option-->mmg.."disable header removal compression" is checked.
After applying the change restart mkvmerge then mux as you like.

I attached snapshot for subtitle menu. File format is avi and subtitle format is srt.
