Hi All,
As I could not find a thread for the Panasonic A series plasmas, I am starting a thread for the A series owners, where we can share our experiences with this model and discuss the performance, price and comparison with other models etc.
To start the discussion I have almost zeroed in on buying this plasma and think this is a very good VFM for my requirements. I am basically considering between the P42A20D and the P42V20D and want your suggestions to pick the one with good value for money.
I am basically looking at the following things and not a top-end highly demanding user. Need your suggetions regarding the following.
1. My viewing distance is 14 feet so whether 42 inch is large enough for proper viewing or I have to extend my budget and consider the P46U20D instead?
2. I am basically buying for 80% TV viewing using the standard DishTV SD content and 20% DVD quality movies.(Dont want BD/Gaming stuff ). My prime criteria is PQ for above use cases. whether for above two cases there will be marked difference in PQ between the V20 and A20 ?
3. Whether there will be picture tentention and burnin issues in A20 as compared to V20 or this needs to be only taken care during the initial 150 hrs and later doesnt matter much ?
4. Whether any major issue is present in A20 as compared to V20 which can be a turn off.
