In a surprising move, Japanese competitors Panasonic and Sony announced in a press release today that they have signed an agreement to collaborate on the development of OLED (organic light-emitting diode) panels for TVs and other large-size displays. Nice but it will take some time for OLED to go mass market. It will be too expensive for lot of people no matter how good it is. Still its a good move and it will be interesting to see new OLEDs from Sony & Panasonic whenever they launch it.
