Hello All,
I have been a read-only member of this site for quite some time now, and with all that I have learnt, I can only be thankful to a lot of you.
I was browsing through a comparison site the other day, and stumbled upon this 42" Panasonic TH-42PZ80Q Plasma. The price being quoted is less than 30k!
I cannot justify the cost bracket of this product considering the specs. It would be great to have some guidance on the issue.

Also, I am planning to buy an entry level HD Ready Plasma for under 40k (Really, it's an extension from 30k, lol). I am in Delhi, and open to Gaffar Market and the likes. Any help is immensely welcome.

Yes kittu1977, the first result in Google I am sure. But the website has another listing of the product, quoting it at 28k lol. Or I guess I misread the price.

Too good to be true, I am thinking now.

Look at the Energy consumption: 573 Watts...Phew !
You will certainly end up paying more in electricity bills every month over the lifetime of the TV, that will offset any discount that you are looking at right now. Plus it will hav the old format of HDMI input which will not display as good a colour gamut as a current HDMI input can. So it defeats the very purpose it is being bought for, unless ofcourse u need to use it as some cheap display TV in some shop/restaurant/office etc.

Current plasmas would consume in the range of 200-350 Watts only.

IMHO.
