Panasonic TH-P42VT30 Advise needed to buy.

My Sony Ex520 display died last week. Repair cost is nearly the cost of the TV. So I want to buy another TV. This time I am planing to buy Panasonic plasma TH-P42VT30. I checked the price, it is around INR117,000. Is the price OK or very high. I know this model is not released in India. I am in Maldives now. Please advise.

Super high price for a 42 inch TV. I'd say invest that money on a good projector and screen to enjoy the real cinema experience. :licklips:

Pan VT30 series is top of the line, the BEST in plasma................price is high no doubt, but it's a very good tv. But why not perhaps go for ST30 and maybe get the 50inches. And yes the VT or ST will definitely be better than the Sony EX520 which is a good entry level LED tv but no match for VT or ST.

Thanks guys for the response. I spoke with the dealer today he has reduced the price to 105,000. He also played VT and ST side by side with same demo bluray and with same setting. There is noticeable difference in the picture. He quoted around 90,000 for 50" ST. Is that price high?

ST30 is available in bangalore for 82-85k. If you bargain well they might close at 80k also. Check with Devi international (Ramesh sales person).
