Panel made in Japan logo missing from some of the panasonic plasma tv.

I was just going through Panasonic pamphlets ( diwali 2011 ,where assured gift+ mega price have written), It is come to my notice that the panel made in Japan is missing from some of the products.

1.) TH-P(50 & 42)U30D
2.) TH-P(50 & 42) X 30D
3.) TH-(50 & 42)V20D( found NEOPDP written)


Is that means they are made some where other places?

Did you check the TVs themselves or are you looking at the Pamphlets only? I believe they should all be made in Japan.

I have 42x30d .I found nothing on the box.

Only "made in thailand" on the back of the TV

Aaaah...! when its rolled on the "Thai's" of beautiful young women, :licklips: why would anyone want a "Made in Japan" sticker?

Mine says "Made in Japan", its a 50VT20. Is this problem being faced to any specific Model series or is it across .... If i remem well the Panansonic TV commercial shows "Panel Made in Japan" prominently...

samsung has a manufacturing facility in thailand and now panasonic must be rolling its products from thailand as well..

Panasonic has had operations in the South East countries for a few decades now, but Samsung?? I am not sure of that as South Korea itself is very competitive in manufacturing costs etc.

my ut30 is also made in Thailand....is it a possibility that panel was made in Japan and rest assembly took place in thailand?
