I listen to the younger brother - A21 - regularly. My fondness for Parasound is very apparent. I can recognise a Parasound amp's sound from those of umpteen other amps in a room. It has a distinct sound that very few other amps can deliver. It is mostly neutral, but supplies power in abundance.

I agree with venkat, its an excellent neutral amp. If you are buying pre-owned ensure nothing was replaced or upgraded or serviced.

Yes i am looking at buying a pre-owned combination of a Parasound A51 Amp and a Parasound AVC-1800 Preamp from a friend .

I had the younger brother A52 in my system for a while, and while I liked it quite well I think it has a little bit of brightness at the top end. Perhaps best if you could listen before you buy!
