Guys,

With mobile phones now coming out with 1080p screen is it time to part away with desktops? Please look at this point from a user perspective not a developer one. I do not intent to develop anything. If i think of myself as a user I will browse net, use ms-office, watch/play videos, listen to music, play games, store files. I don't see myself doing anything else.

The cons that I find using mobile:

Good graphics for games
Websites not optimized for mobile
Multitasking (Have not tried it yet)
Full Hd video (Have not tried it yet)
Video conversion on mobile (Have not tried it yet)
word/excel/ms project (large heavy files)
No database of media for home use for others

Nowadays one can connect a mobile to any large screen and use a keyboard and mouse. Please suggest.

Cheers,
Sid.

Android TV box might be the solution for it...I have been using a Woximedia smartpod for TV & it has been a nice experience..

The hardware needs improvement...
