Recently purchased a new KU6470 55" Samsung 4K tv.
I have been using my old 55" HD TV with my pc via denon AVR without any problem. Now when i try to use my PC with my 4K tv via denon AVR it shows up the boot screen and then it says check your source and no display. I can boot the pc on Safe mode and it opens up without any issue with the denon avr . It also shows me display when i connect my PC direct to the 4K tv but when i connect it via the denon AVR no display after the boot up screen. I am using a new 2.0 HDMI cable all over. Need some help, i am scratching my head behind this from past 2-3 daya:sad:

Simple question: Does your Denon AVR support 4K? If not then you need to connect direct from PC to 4K TV only. What's the AVR model number?

Hi

Some AVR models only support 4K and not allow complete pass through etc.....based on the model, check if full support is there or partial

My denon AVR is 1312 and i think it's a pretty old model and it won't support 4K:sad:
Are there any other 25K AVR which will support 4K ?
And thanks for the quick reply guys.

Ok. But why do you need to connect PC through AVR? For HD audio?

If not you could connect it direct to TV and take optical out from TV to AVR. Or maybe even take optical from PC to AVR.
Of course both options will not support HD audio.

Connect PC to 4K TV via HDMI 2.0 , Take Optical audio out from TV to Denon AVR .Depends upon the TV model the audio may comes as PCM or DTS or Dolby codec. Check the TV audio settings for this.
Still if you want to upgrade AVR the least model in Denon is x520 which can support 4K Ultra HD/60 Hz Video Pass-through; HDCP 2.2

Yes do this and in pc select audio Tv name as default playback device. Right click on the sound icon in tray and select playback device there you will find your Tv name set it as default
