Deeru, it could be of one behind such question(Generally). If not this then only the requester could answer

1.Got Good offer and just try to understand that is that worthy.

:ohyeah:

Gentlemem,Was browsing thru their website and the Specs for this amp was impressive just wanted to know what it sounds like since I want only a digitial
amp. Will take me awhile to build my system but am looking at different options. It is available in India for Rs 1,59999 and in the US for $2000.

Nowadays digital amps are common and it starts with marantz in affordable range. If you want to spend 2000 bucks to start with, then it is a different story altogether. People are there in this forum who have spent 9kusd for the speaker cables. so there is no end to it.
No one can help you here, till you start auditioning the systems and ask for suggestion with brand and model number.
Hope you got the point now.

cheers

I have not heard the Nova 220SE, but I have been using Peachtree Decco 65 for one year now. It's similar to the Nova except it's power rating is 65 rms. Other features are somewhat the same. It's an excellent amp especially if you are using the computer as a source. The Sabre Dac really opens up the sound.

Well just wanted to know what it sounds like,i have the Wadia 151 still to set it up waiting for the Focal 806V speakers from the US which i bought from music direct, all my high res music is on my laptop via JRiver 19.Was actually just thinking of the future.Cheers,

Now you are talking...Focal 806V's are power hungry speakers , which needs very high current power amplification. with 2000$ you can get lot of powerful integrads..and VFM buy I would recomment Trigon Energy and it is cheaper in india compared to other country. Search HFV for this.

But Peachtree Nova is also very powerful. But before buying you have to audition them. Every speaker sounds different with different amplification.

at 92dB and 8 ohm .. power hungry ?? :D

mpw

I see from the dip in impedance perspective while playing. 8 ohm impedance can dip to 3-4 Ohm and thats when speaker demand good current from amps..

Type :2-way bass-reflex bookshelf speaker.
Drivers : 61/2"(16.5cm) Polyglass mid-bass. 1"(25mm) TNV Al/Mg inverted dome tweeter.
Frequency response (+or-3dB) : 55Hz - 28kHz
Low frequency point : 47Hz
Sensitivity (2,83 V/1 m) :90dB
Nominal impedance : 8 Ohms
Minimum impedance : 3.6 Ohms
Crossover frequency : 3 000Hz
Recommended power amplifier : 25 - 120W

I totally agree with MPW at 92dB and 8 ohm power hungary no way I have used 807v 50W amp is enef and is very very easy to drive.

even speaker manufacturer says it needs power ranging 25-120W. You can easily drive the speaker with this watt range. What I meant to say ,was to drive it to the full potential it needs higher current amp within specified power range.
a 50W amp could have more current output than 80w. Please check what is high current amplifier in the forum or web.
Pls check the link and understand.. http://www.avsforum.com/forum/91-audio-theory-setup-chat/1473592-b-w-speakers-power-hungry.html
and again check this http://www.whathifi.com/forum/hi-fi/bw-685-and-audiolab-8200a

Though these two threads applies to B&W..but what is actual impedance would get clear here..
Nominal impedance : 8 Ohms
Minimum impedance : 3.6 Ohms

cheers
