If I had to ask you a question what is the perfect car for a family of 4. What would your answer be.
WHATS YOUR BUDGET ? Cause a family of 4 can be comfortable in a Maruti Alto as well as in a Bentley

So the same holds true for HT & Stereo equipment as well
Purely depends on your budget.

well you can have speakers like these and build a 5.1 based on this for movies.
But i doubt that you would want to spend in excess of 300k - 500k USD for the entire setup with amps etc.
