Hi,

I got an philips HT 5520 for my living room. Could some please advice as to how i establish connections between the following devices so as to get all my audio output through philips HT.

# Airtel DTH (hdmi)
# Xbox 360
# Samsung LED EH5000

The Philips HTS-5520 comes withe the following:
AUX IN 1, AUX IN 2, Composite video (CVBS) output, Digital coaxial in, Component Video output, FM Antenna Socket, 1 HDMI 1.3 output

Having said this how do i interlink my DTH HD , X box 360 and Telivision having only 2 HDMI ports?

Please advice!!!!

IIRC, we had already suggested you to stay away from HTs like this. Now you know you can't connect your hdmi devices.

Hi Xaviour,

I have already gt an Yamaha for ma self nd its awesome.

Just seeing it my family wants one for another room. Since I cannot afford an Yamaha again and another dvd player I am going in for a philips. Wil get an add on dth connection and would like to know as to how I can stream DTH audio through philips.

Appreciate your suggestion.

If your dth has coaxial out then use it for audio. If it is optical then there is no easy solution. You will need to use the aux1 or aux2 to connect the LR out of DTH.

Hi Sriram,

Today i bought a Philips HTS 5520/94 HT. I have the following:

1. Samsung HD LCD TV
2. Tata Sky HD DTH
3. Philips HTS 5520/94 HT

I need assistance on how to hook it up to get the best quality sound out of it.

I'm sure you must be enjoying cinema experience @ home.. :-)

red and white jack of stb box to red and white jack of home theter machine.

or if the home theter machine has coaxial or optical in then from coaxial/optical out of stb to home thetrer coAxial/optical in

sorry no hdmi use in this kind of ht systems hence no tru DD from hd stb

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
