Hi,
Just gone through the detailed review of Pioneer 220 dvdp, from Venkatcr. Quiet informative and detailed. One thing I failed to understand that it contains no optical out. I think it is the cord which links between the amp and the dvdp. My older pioneer model 366 does have the optical socket. How come a advanced dvdp like 220 misses the optical slot. Which means one has to rely on composite cords.
Also I am bit confused whether the pioneer 220 accepts data from external hard drive. Will it play the data a/v whatever if I connect it with a 500 gb external hard disc. I faintly recollect somewhere venkatcr has mentioned that it recognises external hard disc data provided it is in FAT 16/32. but again somewhere it has been mentioned that it does not recognised external hard disc. Please clarify.
REGARDS. Once again kudos to venkatcr
