Hey, Based on feedback i got for my other forum I am planning on going around to check out AVR and speakers. Can someone recommend places that has good collections and knowledgeable people in and around Hitec City?

I feel that the staff in Reliance Digita (inorbit) are not knowledgeable to help me chose.

The Audio People is in Jubilee hills, in Jack and Jones building below Barbeque Nation. I think Panjagutta shop of Vector systems is closed, its also moved to Jubilee hills (Near Actor Sri Hari's house). USK Electronics in Somajiguda, Babukhan mall. There is one showroom in Madhapur, not able to recollect the name.

Nothing in Reliance Digital?
Nothing much in Reliance Digital. I would suggest you to check in

Audio people - Banjara Hills.
Vector Systems - Panjagutta
Sound and Vision - Somajiguda. etc. - This is far if you are in Hitech City.

Thanks,

Thanks! though i dont like to see many places for the same thing for this i think i need to make an exception since its going to be a big investment. Also i am thinking of holding off for now as both Onkyo and Yamaha have said that they are going to release Atmos enabled AVR by end of this month. Your thoughts?

I went to the Reliance Digital inside Inorbit mall. The demo staff looked extremely disinterested and din even let me listen to Onkyo set up.
In Reliance Digital Inorbit Mall,

They have the following demo systems,

Yamaha YHT-196
Pioneer HTP - 323
Pioneer RS 32.

They do have Marantz and BA 5.1 Speakers, but not in demo i guess. I would recommend you to go to Audio people - Banjara Hills or Vector Systems - Panjagutta.

You will have multiple Options to choose there.

Ravi,

Not sure about the Dolby Atmos, whether all the products have the option. Looks like only few models will have this option.

The models are listed out here.

Yup. Avantage series from yamaha and TX series of Onkyo are supposedly getting it. Currently my hall is not very spacious. Hence i am planning on getting a good (with atmos) AVR and then 2.1 (a good one) and then gradually upgrade it to 7.4 or 9.4 or something like that. Hence waiting for Atmos models to come out.
