Planning for HT setup need advise

My current setup

Yamaha AX 397 stereo amp

Wharfedale Diamond 9.5

Wharfedale sw 150 HT

Plan: Convert the speakers to HT setup and buy a Wharfedale Diamond 10 Bookshelf and pair with Yamaha amp for personal listening.

1. What do i need to buy for AV receiver. Both Denon 1713 and Yamaha 473 on my radar?

2. Also please suggest a decent center speakers withing 12-15k range?

For center speakers go with same wharfedale brand and not anyother, as you've already got front 2 speakers from wharfie.

I have been quoted 30k for 1713 without warranty. Does that look reasonable? With warranty price is 37k

i say go for 1912 for 35k if avilable..although its a last year model..its good

Have u heard the Denon AVRs??? If u come from the Yamaha setup(amp), chances are u will be disappointed with the sound of the Denon AVRs... Do demo before u buy...

I agree. Though denon is soft and smooth, it does not have the agility and oomph when it comes to movies.

yet to listen to Denon/Yamaha avr. I will definitely audition both before i buy.
