A couple of old Plasma's a friend wants to sell, what could he expect for them?

Hitachi 50PD9000

Panasonic 42PV70H

Both are working well, no issues to date.

Where are you located? Not sure of the going rate, but can tell, its not much. How is your friend expecting?

You can post in this forum under For Sale section as per friend's expectations. You can get negotiations from members.
I am sure there will be many plasma lovers who can adore as a secondary display if not as main.

Oh, that's good to hear. What would be a indicative figure that he can expect? Just want to know whether its worth the effort of asking him to click pics & send, that too with pic placard & such as they laugh at all this 'procedures' when I tell them.

The TV's are in Mumbai. Not much, but how much? Can you give some numbers based on each model? Shipping them would be a no-no as original packing obviously not available + not at all confident of our courier services especially for delicate items.

The procedure helps a prospective buyer.

Even though the prospective buyer is paying less, however, it is still money on the table. :) so nothing to laugh about!

I bought mine (Panasonic X30 42 inches) used from a prospective seller in OLX in Bangalore and shipped it personally to Kerala.

Here is the link.

I had posted pictures too, however, removed due to reaching the upper limit of posting pictures. I can post fresh ones if you want.

yes, that may be the case, but not everyone sees it that way. Not everyone is aware of forum rules mentality and so on.

Can the query of the value be advised so that can advise him accordingly?
What is the price he can expect? thanks

JayaRaa, you do not mention the AGE of the Plasma's and roughly how many hours they have been used. Also if there are any signs of IR etc.
I dare say that 20K would be the upper limit that your friend can expect.

I would say assuming good condition,

I would roughly Rs pay 12,000/--Rs 16000/- for the Panasonic (as it is a very old model) and a max of Rs 20,000/- to Rs 25,000/- for the 50 inches Hitachi.

These are guesstimates and should be taken as such.

The age would be at least 6 yrs & usage of the panasonic would be quite minimal since it is in the guest bedroom. The Hitachi is in his living room, so would be well used I presume, BUT it has had a new panel installed about 2 yrs back. All are working without any flaws and the same can be inspected by prospective buyer with prior appointment.

Thanks for your guesstimates, as at least they give him an idea of what could be their value.

Now the big question, are there any buyer(s) for the same?
