Playing Blu-ray on RPi 3

Browser as in via KODI???, well you can, with a browser plugin for KODI or openELEC, if thats what you are looking for.

To answer you and Mash, I want a full fledged browser on the Milhouse/Libreelec version of Kodi. Unfortunately what I have seen till are text only browsers, which I think is downright stupid.

I have to locate and install a browser if there is one.

Thanks

Pi has a pass through option. In my case all stereo audio is sent to the digi+ then to dac->amp->speakers. Anything more than stereo is routed to the hdmi which goes to my receiver.

Pi does not do HD Audio passthrough.

Pi does not do HD Audio passthrough.

The Pi does both PCM and audio pass through. Not sure if it does HD Audio pass through. There is certainly a difference in the sounds between Pi processing the audio, audio pass through, and PCM. Don't know why. In both pass through and PCM the center channel gets very low, though the same movie, through a DVD or Blu-ray plays as I have set the AVR. A little confusing, but not a game changer.

For example I was playing a ripped copy of David Garrett: Rock Symphonies Open Air Live (2011). There is a subtle change in the sound mix. In pass through and PCM, David's violin seems to merge with the rest of the orchestra. When I played the original DVD, his violin is clearly separate and accentuated. Similarly I was hard pressed to hear one of his orchestra member's guitar in Live & Let Die. I have to play around a bit more to see what I can do. One possibility is that the software decoding may be affecting the sound. Will buy the audio codecs from Pi organisation.

The video quality stays the same.

As I said, not a deal breaker. But Pi does something to the sound.

Cheers
