Experts please advise between KDL-42W670A/KLV-40R452A, I have shortlisted these two models . Please share your comments to help me in finding the better tv , is the sony panels having better life span when compared to Samsung as I have seen samsung panels giving trouble in 1.5 yrs from date of purchase.

There is nothing superlative regarding panel life in any maker's LED model. In fact when it comes to choose between the likes of sony and sammy the difference is all the more insignificant since both of them use the same VA panel. So it is highly recommended to opt for extended warranty while purchase. Regarding the two sets you mentioned, w670 is the better of the two as it employs edge lit backlighting with frame dimming and 100hz native panel refresh rate for better motion adaptability. Apart from that w670 is a smart tv with wifi built in.

Sony 42W670 is a good choice in my opinion. However you can also ponder other contenders like Panasonic 42E6D which has gained quite acclaim among forum members.
Please tell the price at which you are getting. I'm getting it today at 12 for 60k on 0 percent finance. At another shop, I'm getting it for 63K(not fully negotiated) with free headphones(diwali scheme)

I am getting it in my town for 59K.
60K is good price I guess , I am waiting for expertise reviews once I have few I will start bargaining . The MRP for this model at Croma , Hyderabad is 64900 . Please let me know from which city your are and showroom they offered this price
Purchased from croma, chandigarh for Rs 60,500 with Rs 3000 cashback. Effective price is Rs 57,500. Cashback is valid thru SBI credit cards, SBI debit cards and tata cards. cashback on single card is 5% or Rs 2500 whichever less. So used two cards. Hope to receive 3K cashback
Finally I purchased Sony W670 42 Inch TV and set arrived today. I have checked the panel usage which causing bit confusion for me regarding the usage. I am uploading the Photo taken during panel usage check. Please let me know whether the usage is '0' or not , As I read in one of the thread that
The bottom left 5 numbers are the hours ,Next 5 are boot count and last 5 are the lcd panel hours, so I am assuming it as '0' hrs for panel usage,7 for boot count ( I am not sure what is boot count) is it the TV power on count ?
My TV shows it as 00000-00007-00000.
Can I take it as 0 usage hrs from the photograph , Please help me.
