Hi,
I am having two internet connections at home..One is MTNL broadband having Beetel router model 450TC1 which is also connected with Dlink repeater in main hall and other one is Fivenet Service with Netgrear JNR 3210 router.
I am facing problem with MTNL beetel router.
Every mobile phone (mostly Iphone) which I connect to it gets disconnected if it remains idle for few mins or if we lock the screen. So I have to toggle on-off in WiFi setting in mobile every time to reactivate it.It doesn't happen with any laptop. It only happens with mobile phones. And strange thing is that - it doesn't happen with repeater connected to the same router. It remains connected continuously.Same case with Fivenet service Netgear router also.It also remains connected forever.
So I felt the culprit is MTNL router only.Is there any setting in to be modified in that Beetel router so that it remains connected forever with my mobiles...? Plz help..

I could have given few points if your PC/laptop wifi was getting disconnected. But I have no clue why an iPhone would behave like that. A quick google does tell me that this problem might be on iOS 8.1.2, is that the one you are using. Apart from that try Reset Network Settings ....... that is all I can think off. Other might chip few more suggestions.

Sounds like iOS issue. If it is not an iOS issue, it could be 450TC1 firmware issue. See if you can find a latest firmware and update to it.

Other thing that you can try is to set static IP for each of your devices on the router side. It may not fix the issue but you can give it a shot.

As I said earlier it doesn't happen with the repeater or other internet service (Fivenet) Iphone iOS is not culprit. It must something to be tweaked in that Beetel Modem cum router.Let's hope we can find some solution for it..

I would still like to get an answer is it 8.1.2 you are using. Plus do try resetting the network setting, also if the ios does not get disconnected on repeater does not still guarantee that it is not an ios issue. My troubleshooting step would still be first towards ios
