I need to buy a 50 inch plasma tv.
I own a 42" Panasonic G10, and I am happy with it.
The Panasonic VT20 seemed to be the unit to go for until recently, but I don't know if it is still available now.
I will be mainly watching tatasky HD and downloaded hd movies and tv serials. Will also be getting a blu ray player soon.
Please suggest which is the one to buy now.
Thanks in advance

I own the VT20D. Yup, it is not available anymore. If you are in bangalore, you can check it up with Giria's Jayanagar once. I don't think we have more choices when it comes to Plasma. Only Panny. If you can wait till Feb, you can buy the latest THX certified model on VT series it seems. That's what Giria's guy told me last week.

My first post -

Just purchased P50VT20D Panasonic Plasma today from Chroma, Delivery tomorrow and Installation by Monday.

It seems they have quite a few Non-Display(that is Packed pieces) sets available.

Regards.

Samsung has a great lineup this year especially the 3D part is usually superior to Panasonic.

50VT20 is available as display units at Bangalore for 68k (seems you missed the thread :)). Just need to visit Croma after I talk to the Area Manager to pick it. I am trying to pull it down to 65k as feel that should be fair for display units.

Hi again guys,

Sorry for not stating the price before.

Price (Pune): Rs.70,000 with no freebies, standard 3years warranty, 1 glass.

I was assured a manufacturing of 2011 for this packed/sealed piece, lets see.

I am sure Prankey is going to get his price of Rs.65k anytime now, but I just couldn't wait any longer since my current TV broke. Somehow, I got the feeling that they could surely get it down to 65k, but for someone with reasonably decent bargaining skills.

65k would be the perfect price actually but I could not bargain well at all, infact nothing(barely 2k down).

Thanks to all the greats though(Prankey included) for helping me think about getting it lower from about 80k to 70K.

Please do forward "initiating" advice for the first 100-200 hours of first TV watching....

Regards and Thanks.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
