Hi Guys :)

Need your help picking a TV before ramadhan eid , below are my requirements

1. Size - 42 inch and above
2. Budget - 50-55K MAX( can go upto 65k if its really worth it )
3. Viewing distance - 3 feet to 6 feet
4. Sources/inputs such as HD DTH/consoles/stand-alone media players etc - Will be using as a monitor on my Machine for gaming and movies (i already have a 24inch monitor, i could use this as a secondary display too)
5. Preference for plasma TV/LCD TV/LED-LCD TV - Plasmas can be considered if they have very good picture quality but as ill be using it for a secondary monitor it would cause issues
6. Preference for brands - Samsung/Sony
7. Willing to purchase it from the grey market? - No, will be using bajaj finserv emi card
8. Ambient lighting conditions of the room - Low lights and will be turned off while watching movies, will be using in my bedroom
9. Any other feature you are looking for such as 3D support on the HDTV, DLNA capabilities etc - Need DLNA capabilities, Needs to have HDMI, should be full HD and having a usb port, bluetooth or wifi is a bonus, would need to to have 3D capabilities and also if i can get best 3D experience along with 2D+ full HD PQ

will also be buying a PS4 / Xbox one when it releases

Will be buying it today , so please help me finalise a model which is feature rich and value for money with no compromise on picture quality

There are hardly any new range plasmas available at that size. Considering that you are planning use it as monitor as well, better go for LED. There are many which are available at that price point. Sony 42W650 can be a good option or a Samy 6 series at 42". Have a demo and take a pick. My choice will be 42W650.

Well my post meant plasmas from Panasonic, my top preference would be a led with 3d capabilities and stunning pq

I'm open for anything but I would want very good PQ and good 3d experience with usb option, I don't think plasmas would be a good option cos they aren't good with static items like task bar or wallpaper

Bought the vguard stabiliser and the TV showed usage hours of 769hours which i have called the reliance guys and informed and they are delivering a brand new TV and they were shocked to know it was a demo piece cos this was a consignment from chennai, not sure whos true, anyways i shall be getting a brand new piece tomorrow

How much did you end up paying for this TV? I noticed during my weekend visit that Reliance quotes more compared to all other stores.
