Hello Everyone..

I am very new to this site and feeling so good to c that everyone here are so helpful in sharing and giving ideas.

Hope you will jump into this thread to help me out as well.

I am planning to have 32" LCD. Requirements

1. Want to enjoy the HD channels from Tata Sky HD
2. Cheap and best set ( 20 - 30K)
3. I personally like Panasonic, added advantage is 3 years warranty
4. First I planned for Full HD but after going through some reviews i am in dilema whether go go with Full HD or HD ready, wan to know will HD movies will play good enough in HD ready.

Hope to listen from experts.

Have a great day...

With a budget jacked up by 33%, I.e. for around 40 you can have the best of Panasonic 42 inch plasma. I believe, even for 42incher, one doesn't NEED full HD. (Need being the operative word here, as you will definitely find a full HD better, but the difference is more elaborate for 50 inches or higher. That's when you NEED full HD) .

Let me add to this thread my requirement too. I am looking for a 32 incher for my bedroom. But willing to pay for the BEST set out there, viewing distance 6 to 8 ft.

Full HD, internet, high contrast ratio, USB direct play, all needed.

Any thoughts?

Thanks Paritosh...40 will be over budget for me...need below 30k only..thanks for your inputs... Gusys....Please pour your ideas..waiting

You can get 42" Panasonic X30 plasma and Samsung D450 plasmas at around 32k.

The 42X30 comes with 3 year warranty.

Checkout for demo at Bajaj electronics.

Hi frnd,
Welcome 2 this site. You have a great variety of things to choose from. If you touch the 30k range then simply Bravia 32BX320 is the ultimate in picture quality, sammy D450 is also rocking in second position next comes the Viera range from 23-28 you can get many options.
My personal recommendation will be just go to a all in one shop and make a test with some HD, Full HD content and check the usb capability of the media player.
A very easy method is just take some pics in JPEG in normal and wide screen format, check them in the TVs for better color reprodution. The ultimate choice is urs. In bravia with another 2k you will get 2 yrs additional warranty, so complete peace of mind. Sammy n Bravia rocks in PQ n SQ.
All the best and keep us posted updates and querries.

Thanks,
Bijay

Thanks for your inputs... i will be giving the sony as my first preference.. and then smasung...but what u guys say about Panasonic..it attracts me as this has 3 years mfg warranty...any thoughts...

Sony is almost same in PQ as samsung but have poor USB playback and is a bit costly.

Toshiba has the best USB capability. Plays around 40 formats, much higher to SONY. Prices are also less. PB series costs around 25k with 3 year warrenty.

Guys, those of you who say that 32BX PQ is AMAZING or GREAT, I really find mine way down performing when I compare it to my Panasonic 42C10D plasma. The color tones are down right BAD. I tried to tweek a little. But can not get nearly half as good a PQ as my plasma. Can you guys help me through the settings I.e. values of the Picture setting parameters that provide beat possible PQ.

Please help me out here. The TV is in my dad's room and he is really not liking the colors of it.

Can't do much if you are comparing to plasma. Keep the plasma away from your father.. ;)

Sammy is great but i suggest insted going for grey stuff, try with sammy official warranty, it will be around 25k but thats better in all the way.
And if you plan for grey route, let me tell u you can get Bravia BX32 in 19k and sammy abt 18-19k why settle for the 1yr dealer warranty.

Think again and decide my friend. I am also in same boat as u. But my heart says with sony orgional from lets buy will be 28.4+2k=30.4k all genuine with 3 yrs peace of mind.
Happy hunting my BRO !!!
