Pls Help Me Compare... Onkyo v/s Denon+Jamo v/s Denon+Polk

hi

i auditioned four different setups yesterday

1. Onkyo 508 with 728 price 59k

2. Denon 1610 with Polk RM6750 price 60k

3. Denon 1610 with Jamo A102 price 61k

i liked all of the equally on sound front.

pl give your opinion : which of the above 3 is best

Considering the prices , None.

I saw the first combo for 49k and after bargain 45k . Even the other combos are highly priced.

To answer your question I would rate 1st combo +1 only if its priced as I mentioned above.

Denon 1311 with Polk RM6750 price 32-34k - special offer by ProFX till 31st March.
This AVR is very similiar to 1611.

where is that offer from? i mean which stores / chain is offering it? i'm from Rajkot, Gujarat and here there is no ProFX store... only one guy who sells most of the ProFX products... he must be sourcing them from Ahmedabad or some place else... he offered me the combo with Philips BDP @64k though... but considering the prices you guys are talking about, it is still way above the best price

BTW I did like the Denon + Polk combo

thanks for the suggestions.

i talked to the ProFX guy @ Ahmedabad over the matter. he asked me to send the drawings my room to suggest more options. he was very courtuous and helpful. he also said that the polk pkg is with a smaller sub which is generally not a preference for Gujaratis, who prefer a larger punch. he said we could keep the same sattelites and change the sub if i liked. also he would help me have auditions of some options here at my place as they have appointed a local service person. he also invited me to visit his show room at ahmedabad. one thing though..... the he quoted was the same as i got in Rajkot :-(

i also talked to Onkyo guy in Mumbai branch as suggested by many in the forum. he too quoted the same pkg price for 508 plus 728 as in rajkot.

think, i have now 2 options: onkyo pkg or den plus polk
