Pls Suggest me a good Home Inverter---Urgent

Can anyone suggest me a good Inverter for my Home??
I will be using this for LCD TV/HT, Refregirator, 2 Tube Lights and 2 fans.
1. Pls Suggest me a good UPS
2. I am planning to go for either EXIDE or AMARON batteries instead of buying the batteries from the UPS brand (Like Microtek, AmaraRaja etc). I need your valuable reviews on there Batteries.

Go only for a Sine wave inverter. APC, Su-kam are among the best. APC can be a notch expensive, but worth the quality. If price is not an issue, go for APC. Su-kam is also very good.

Reg. batteries, prefer Amaron over Exide. Car enthusiasts swear by the name of Amaron batteries. They are really good. However, Amara Raja that you mentioned in your post (so as to avoid) is the manufacturer of Amaron Batteries! See...Amara...Amaron!

mention all the equipments you would want to run simultaneously and we will

as invertor comes in capacity ranging from 800 va to 2500 va

also batteries comes in types.. normal/tubular

Adding to what has already been posted, if possible demo the inverters before you decide. Some of them, such as the older models of Sukam and maybe even the newer ones have rather noisy fans an audible high frequency whine.
