polk audio rti a7

i am buying my first homehteatre systemm..i will be using it for 70:30 music:movies...i have decided on the polk rti a7s....the best deal i have got for them is at ivoryedge for 50k...is there anywhere else available at a cheaper price...i am from kerala....
also i would like to know if they are the best speakers i can get for 50k rs...

you can get cheaper than this try to get at least 15% discount on mrp

The RTI a7 is better suited for 80% movies 20% music.

I suggest looking at Kef Q500 or Jamo c605 or c607.

However if you're seriously into music and care less about home threatre hype, then forget all of these and place an order with Viren Bakshi at lyrita Audio for a pair of Harmony 1 floorstanders with a 2a3 tube amplifier. Speakers are 50k and amp is 50k.

Since you are from Kerala, try auditioning the KEF Q500 at Profx, Cochin.

for music try kef/wharfedale than polk....also consider corelements suggestion about lyrita audio..

Strange...I actually like the Polks RTi series. They are very good for pop,jazz, large scale orchestra type and trance music. Kef's Q500 are good too but doesn't dig deep bass as the Polk A7's.
Sometime back Quad 22l2's were available for 60k from hifimart. The quads are special. I think it's not available now but still you can enquire...
