hello everyone

my SW Polk PSW-110 kind of dying day by day, it needs to be running for 30 min to 1 hour to get any output after that, until then it only makes some scratching sound. the amp board was replaced earlier around 5 year ago from service center with same issue. is this repairable at a less cost? if not I might put this on give away thread.

IMO, capacitors gone bad!

probably, but they said they wont repair it, only replace the board which will cost around 8K
i dont know if any local shops does it

Nowadays, many do only board level repairs or rather replacement. There are hardly any skilled technicians who will check each and every circuit/chip/capacitor on a board due to the want of time. You will need to search for such a repairer locally.

Alternative is to look for a pre owned subwoofer within your budget and sell this off as is for whatever you can get best for it.

yea, I am now thinking to sell it off to people who can repair it.. I might go for a tower speakers so SW wont be needed.
