Little help again. I just got myself a power conditioner but it has a huge ass plug, probably like the ones on refrigerators. Now that does not fit into the normal three pin socket, which is where all my audio video equipment is. Can you help me with a workaround?

Get an adapter or call an electrician and get the mains plug changed to 20a plug.

I'll go the adapter way. Would that be a 15amp to 5 amp adapter?

While you can do it, I dont think its the right way to do it. If something is rated at a higher amperage and you plug it to a lower amp socket you are overloading it.

But if I change the socket, wouldn't that mean I'll have to change the wiring? Instead by its mere product description the adapter will adapt?

Till now I use using a surge protector to which my AVR, Tata Sky, and raspberry pi were connected without any mishap.

This is the product I need to plug in http://www.hifimart.com/accessories...werbase-power-filter-and-protection-unit.html

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
