Problem in SD channel viewing in Samsung 32" with Airtel HD Connection

Can anyone suggest me the best settings for Samsung LED UA32D5000 model?
Also I am facing a problem. I am using Airtel HD DTH. Now when I am watching the HD channels, I am getting the full screen view (in 16:9 mode). But all the SD channels are not appearing full screen; I am getting the video in the center with two blank vertical strips on two sides. I am attaching photos. Please suggest what change I need to do in my setting.

i think its the picture settings from ur tv adjust it to be always 16:9 not auto cause if its auto it will automatically adjust SD views to 4:3 since thats the best fit for it and if its not from the TV then its ur DTH (which i dont know what is that actually forgive me ) but adjust it also to be the same

You need to adjust the aspect ratio in your TV and the STB. Set aspect ratio of TV to 16:9 and in STB set the TV type as wide screen.
