My BD player is not reading any disk. Loading itself takes lots of time, Even if it loads getting stuck. Is there any service centre in Bangalore who can fix this issue? I feel it's a problem with lens. Tomorrow I will try to get blue ray lens cleaning kit and clean the lens. Keeping my fingers crossed. Can anyone suggest good cleaning kit available in Bangalore?

TIA

If you can update your location to a city(instead of India), people can give you better advise.

If you are staying in Mumbai, it could be plain humidity or dust.

As rsud suggested, the best option first would be to one disconnect the BD player and contact oppo support via email, they are quite good and will give you good troubleshooting steps.

There are no local service centers of Oppo, it being a internet direct company and having no official resellers.

As you have suspected, the highest chances would be dust in the lens, so cleaning it wont do any harm. But do contact oppo as the first step.

I got Philips blue ray cleaner today thought of trying my luck but BD player is not ready to read the cleaner disk. I can hear some kaarrr Karrrr sound and then get a message "Unknown Disk". I had sent a mail to OPPO and waiting for the response.

I don't want to get into the mess of sending it back to OPPO and then ship it back. It will cost a bomb rather I would be happy if someone in India can repair my BD player.

I upgraded to latest firmware as well. Is there any other alternative which I can try from my side? lesson learned is never buy stuff from outside India unless they have a service center in India.

I got my BD loader today evening along with the instruction (Very well written) from OPPO customer care and can you imagine at zero cost. I replaced the drive and now my player is working like a charm no issue. It brought back smile into my face.

All credit goes to OPPO customer care. I am very much delighted with the customer service they went out of the way to help me out. I will be always loyal customer of OPPO in the years to come.

Last but not the least a big thank you for all the OPPO customer care people.

OPPO Rocks !!!!!

The BD loader was the issue. It was not detecting any disk. I tried cleaning with the BD lens cleaner disk but all my effort went in vain. Finally I contacted OPPO service centre and they have given me some steps to follow but no result. OPPO asked me to send the player to US and after explaining the pain and cost invloved to send the player to US they agreed to send the BD loader free of cost but I need to return the defective loader back to OPPO. After replacing the drive my player is again back into lifel.:)
