Projector Under 2 Lakhs INR / $3000

I'm planning to go for a projector under 2 Lakhs INR or $3000. Long throw will do. Coz a short throw screen is equally costly and that will burn my pocket to almost 5 lakhs INR.

You need to decide on few parameters:
HD or Enhanced 4K or Native 4K (True 4K)
DLP Technology or LCD Technology. (if you are sensitive to rainbow artifacts of DLP, you may stick to 3LCD projectors

Considering your budget of 2L, you can consider Epson 8300, if you can spend a bit above 2L, you will be able to get Epson 9400.
These are 4K Enhanced projectors , 3LCD technology, 1200000:1 contrast ratio, motorized zoom, vertical/horizontal shift, lens cover etc.
Now they are calling 4K PRO-UHD

You can also consider BenQ, Optoma etc. They are DLP projectors, if you or your family members not sensitive to rainbow effect, you can consider them.

You can audition the projectors and decide. If you are from south Bangalore, you can visit The Home Cinema (8296500666, 8296500777) in Electronic City. They experience center inaugurated recently and they have Epson 9400 projector installed.

I believe profx is dealing with Sony projectors, but Sony 4K projectors are 5L+
