I need recommendations on a pump for a koi pond and a stone waterfall feature. The pump which will be housed in a basement below the pond, a vertical distance of about 15 feet, should have enough power to give white water and some noise. Though there are pumps available on Amazon and specialty websites , I was looking for suggestions from forum members who have actual use experience. If the pump can be powered by solar that would be a very agreeable feature. The pond is about a thousand gallon capacity.
I have attached pictures of work in progress. For the curious , the three holes on the right are planter boxes which will have trees - preferably Japanese Maple and Blue or Black Pine. An arbor (trellis) next to the rock feature will have a wisteria vine.
