For a moment I read it as $30 to $50.....and said "WHAT"

Then I read it correctly....and still said "WHAT"

My reactions were the same :)

Really Absurd....

Exactly.

I have said this earlier and say it again, they make things like those because there is a market for it.

Believe me, Ambanis would be rather relaxed to finally find a rack worthy of their house. Their search is finally over

Manufacturers of such stuff would laugh their way to bank even if they can find buyers for 10 pieces of each model. All their expenses, branding, marketing, advertising will be covered by first sale. Rest of the sale will allow them to survive for their next "big" launch.

Constructed of 500 lbs of aluminum, copper, and damping compound, the MRack is a byproduct of the R&D Magico put it into their Q series of loudspeakers.

Does that thing weigh over 200 kilos?

When I saw the tittle of this thread I was like "OMG, some one is looking for a rack for 30K-50K???" :D

Is it a Class A or Class B rack? Does it have 2.5 or 3 way ports ?? :P

It's for both class A & B especially suitable for bright and warm amps as the cold property of the metal rack compensate it to neutral sound. This rack also good for speakers with aluminium tweeters.

Rolls-Royce rings up best-ever sales year

And these were recession years for the world! So luxury always sells, and I do not think high end audio is immune to this. Btw I read that Magico built these racks for their own use in shows etc., but show goers demanded these and they already sold 10 of these and they do see a market for these, however absurd we may think the pricing is.
Cheers,
Sid

Although a lot of wonderful things are discussed on this forum, it surprised me to find that it reflects the interests and experience of a rather smallish group of good people who are into audio in india. However, India is one of the prime markets (apparently) for Magico speakers - which are really terribly expensive - and there are many many high-end systems here that we do not even get a sniff of here. Many of these owners don't spend the time on online forums (and look at all the enjoyment they miss!). Such is the way... and it wouldn't surprise me if one or more of these pieces end up here!

On a 'serious' note, racks of this kind are needed when the audio set up is of a 'particular' level [standard] - only then is their actual worth sonically audible.
Price - well, that I do not want to comment on - but to make a good product - it is expensive & therefore they do charge the amount that they do :-

In all fairness, unless we listen to gear of this quality / level with [on] an expensive Rack & without [off] expensive rack - we should not pass a judgement on its performance & eventually on its price...

This is just my humble opinion;;;

The quality of material - audio gear used & rack principal etc. all may play a part in the final result - visual & acoustical - so I feel...

Mazhar Bhai, Greetings.
I am constrained to disagree with you, albeit very amicably so.:)
Talk about the Law of Diminishing returns.
After all, A RACK IS A RACK IS A RACK.:indifferent14:
Personally, no offense meant . . .
I feel its a whole LOAD of you-know-what :rolleyes:and THAT can be proved scientifically, if anyone's game!:ohyeah:
