I bought a Thorens CD 53 changer made between 1946 and '52 from a scrap dealer. He did not know what it was. Neither did I know except that I saw the emblem of Thorens on it. Those who frequently visit these guys, can get lucky

The article said that the "discoverer" had transferred the recordings to a CD and was willing to put them to the test. Does anyone have any update on this?

I do not know if he is still posted in Mumbai or has transferred. I suppose if somebody is really interested they can walk into his office and reqest him they can have a chance to hear the cd recordings.
