Reading recommendations for learning theory behind the designs

Hello everyone! I'm putting this post to get some suggestions on learning the theory behind component designs of sound systems. I'm primarily curious about amplifier designing, and that's what I'll probably limit myself to initially. My knowledge of electronics doesn't go beyond some basics I had to learn during engineering (not in electronics or related fields), so basic texts that establish the fundamentals are all too welcome.

I hope this thread will become a repository for anyone curious in similar things.

Please read Rod elliott's website. He has very nice written articles on amplifier design along with nice projects.

Also Bob Cordell's book "Designing Audio Power Amplifiers" is a gem for kicking off on the journey.
