Hello,

I'm building (trying) a Home Theatre system for the 1st time and need some recommendations. Here's my room layout

1729782104123.png
  • Distance from TV(55inch Sony Bravia Oled) to sofa = 6ft.
  • 40% walls are treated with acoustic foam
  • 75% ceiling is treated with acoustic foam
  • I have 6ft of thick, blackout curtains
  • Budget is 1L
I've been using Harman Kardon Soundsticks 2 for about 5 years now. Unfortunately, they are asking for a upgrade.

80% use for Movies/TV Shows. 20% Music. Bluetooth is not necessary but a happy bonus.

So far I'm either looking at HItB Yamaha YHT-3072IN for 75k or a custom setup with
Polk HTS 12 Subwoofer (used) - 30k
Taga Harmony TAV 607 5.0 Set - 47k
Denon AVR-x580bt (used) - 22k

I love DIY so custom setup isn't an issue.

Hoping to be able to upgrade in the future as well.

Please suggest something good for my use case.

Welcome to HFV. If you are open to preowned then there were some good XTZ fronts and center speakers , Dali Oberon speakers and Yamaha or Denon avrs. You can take a look and check them further with the respective fm's if it fits your budget.

The room is big enough to justify a stronger AVR. Denon x580bt might not be able to fill your room. I would increase AVR budget to 50K and looked for used to SR5010 or higher. Please check out the revolver club website. They seem to have older AVR models at really good price.

Go for used speakers and free up funds. Go for best possible LCR speakers.. you can cheap out on rears ;)
