Region free

Hi friends,

Recently I purchased Panasonic bluray player dmp220 and I would like to make it region free. I went through the previous threads by visiting the site firmwareinfo.com and try toregister for mac address by giving a donation. Now the site is obsolete and not opening. Can you please let me other alternate methods to make it region free.

SOme of these sites are not verified and there have been cases of people getting nothing achieved.....my advice is to look out for a region free BD player and sell this one off...

The other option is to use Discs or download content which works with your player.

I use a Region A player for the past 4 years now and have not had any issues....

Perhaps some YouTube videos available may help in getting some ideas to make the BD player region free...

As far as I know and have heard and read about Blurays, is that 2/3 rd of the BDs are region free. I have bought a Sony Bluray Player from UK in Oct 2015 and I have not had any instances of Bluray discs not able to play in the player.

Region free Blue players are very expensive, not sold in India. Try buying region free DVD's and Bluray's but some of the choicest films are not available in region free mode.
I cannot believe how these manufacturers shove such irrelvant noise about different regions instead of having one single mode of play across all players. They do not realize how much more money they can make.
