Hi Fellow Kolkatan HiFiVision members,

I am in search of an amplifier for my stereo set up. I have a Tannoy Mercury V1 BS speaker and a Marantz CD 5004 player. I am getting into auditioning the amps with the speakers. I shall be auditioning Sonodyne, NAD, Marantz, Denon amps at the dealers. Requesting if you would help a fellow member out for Norge amps or other budget amps. You may also suggest matching amps for the setup if you are using the combination.

Even try Cambridge audio,Yamaha amps which can match with Tannoy.

I was about to say Cambridge audio. Whats your budget?
When do you generally go for audition? If it is weekend I may join you, ofcourse if you don't mind.

Around 20 to 30K budget you can get the CA AZUR (350,550) or the CA Topaz series.

Hi All,

Thanks for your responses. In the past weekend, I had auditioned Denon PMA 510E, Marantz PM 6004 and CA 550 A. The CA seems to best match so far. Shall be auditioning NAD and Sonodyne next weekend. Most welcome to join in.
