Rotel ra-970bx

Hi Guys,

I own a ROTEL RA-970BX Integrated Stereo Amp. At times, the Amp is not powering both the channels, when I adjust the Source knob, it creates quite a lot of disturbance before working normally. Very rarely I do hear some cracking noise from the speakers. What could be the problem? Can this be fixed?

If a fix is not possible, I am thinking of buying Marantz PM5004+CD5004 combo/an used amp from the forum. Will PM5004 drive my Axiom M3 as good as my Rotel?

Hi cruise,

It probably needs a change of selector switch and volume control knobs which may be worn out due to age and use. You can replace the same with a remote contol for trouble free operation.
