Hi,
I just purchased RX-V681 and i am searching for the perfect match speakers
I am confused between the Polk TSX-550 and the yamahas NS-555
and NS-F500

So, please help me to take the decision and if there is any recommendation about the speakers
also, i noticed that the receiver supports the bi-amp speakers
What are the differences between those and the normal ones.
Also, the Front presence speakers what are the differeneces between it and the normal ones.

Thanks

Congrats on a good AVR. Do you want to complete 5/7.x set-up?

Bi-amping with AVR speaker terminals.. Most speakers usually would have High Freq & Low Freq terminals, connected by jumper.. If you plan to use this feature, you need to remove jumper from the speakers and feed the speakers terminals with different ouputs from your AVR..

Refer to your AVR manual on connectivity..

Also, the Front presence speakers what are the differeneces between it and the normal ones.

Assuming you complete a 7.1 set-up and are playing a normal DTS/Dolby 5.1 movie, with some surround preset mode in your AVR, this will extract some ambient information from your existing channels and play it on the presence speakers..

When you are playing an Atmos disc, this speaker location should have feed from the disc.

Congrats on a great receiver. I see you are from Egypt. Have you had the chance to audition any of the speakers you have mentioned? I would say carry along some music/movies that you like and audition them with those above speakers.
WHat about Pioneer,Wharfedale,Dali,Boston acoustics? see if you can find comparable pricing and audition those too. Do not rush.
