Mr. Johnson who was known to many of us and a good friend sadly passed away due to Covid-19 related causes last week.
We will miss his calm and kind demeanor and quiet competence in diagnosing and solving our audio-video equipment problems.
He was also an audiophile with a keen ear and interest in discussing music and sound.
Our condolences to his family for this devastating loss. May his soul Rest In Peace.

This is really tragic news.
Johnson had helped me out on more than one occasion; going out of his way to solve my issues, quickly and efficiently. No hype, no fuss; just a wonderful human being. I will really miss him.

This is very sad to hear, may his soul Rest in Peace. Had just spoken with him once for a HP amp repair but never managed to get there due to the situation.

Ohh this is really a sad news..I had repaired my amplifier in January by him. Such a nice guy to deal with.. knowledgeable person about audio gears.. definitely a loss for the people like us, especially Bangaloreans.
May his soul RIP in peace..

We had thought about him earlier in a thread, when the news broke

It is a sad news. I was thinking of contacting him regarding a DAC. I had interacted with him once and he left an impression. We lost someone who was knowledgeable and skilled in his craft; gentle and kind hearted. It is indeed a loss.

Yes, this is a big loss to all of us. He was a good-natured and gentle person with years of experience in all things audio and video. He has been my go-to person for any kind of electronics issues I faced for several years. He has been able to fix every single issue promptly for very reasonable rates. May he rest in peace!

This sad news was shared last week in another thread on this forum and it is indeed very tragic. He was a very nice person and very very knowledgeable. I came to know about him recently from this forum and he has repaired many audio equipment for me right until the time he became ill. His knowledge is much more than that of the authorised service centres we go to in Bangalore, Technicians from authorised service centres are fairly useless and always used to hesitate when I talked about repairing old equipment, however Johnson said that he can fix anything that is an electronic item and he proved it, even when circuit boards were broken he would build a new circuit board from scratch. Even Lizner did not have the confidence Johnson had when it came to fixing stuff, however to be fair to Lizner who I have never met and only spoken with him on the phone he sounds like a fairly elderly person, so his hesitation is understandable. Johnson will be greatly missed.

Johnson's demise is a great loss to this community, apart from the bereaved family of course. I had last met him around the end of March at his residence cum service centre off Sarjapur road, to service an old Sony amp. Sweet chap, always a pleasure to interact and deal with, and of course trustworthy. May he rest in peace.

Sorry to post in this forum. I didn't know where else to ask. Having read so many great things about Mr. Johnson and his skills with amplifier repair, I want to know if someone has taken over his business or else can you guys please suggest somewhere else in Bangalore to get my JBL car amplifier (GT-X646) repaired. I couldn't get an authorised JBL car audio repair centre for Bangalore. Thanks in advance.
