samsung 32d5000 v/s sony 32ex520

which among samsung 32d5000 and sony 32ex520 is a better tv? Is the samsung tv having really 100hz motion flow compared to the sony's 50hz motion rate.I need suggestion from hifians asto which tv to buy.

you really dont need high Hz on a 32" just go by what looks better to you.

The 100hz in the D5000 doesn't do anything other then make the backlight dim.
Its only in the D6000 and above series does it have a effective implementation with frame insertion and backlight scanning.

If you want to play all formats via usb then get the samsung,The sony comes with a SPVA panel ,no sure about the panel in 32"D5000.

As of today ,Yes.
But not all Sony models come with a SPVA low end models like EX310/EX410 come with IPS panel.

SPVA has the contrast edge compared to the majority of the other lcd tech.

Most of the higly rated flagship lcd tvs uses a panel of VA origin like the HX925 ,sharp elite.

How do you rate sony 32cx420. Does sony 32cx420 come with an spva panel.

Not sure about the exact panel in CX420,you can check the panel info in the service menu,during standby press i,5,vol+,power .

If you see something like LTY320HN0102 as found in EX520 where the first letters can be either LTY ,LTU,LTZ,LTA then its a SPVA rest of the numbers and alphabets after the first three letters are irrelevant.

The C420 has the older inferior BE3 image processing while still good looses out to the newer X-reality in CX520 and upwards.

Another good choice is the samsung D580 this one comes with a SPVA,
