Samsung 46D6600 suggestions?

I have checked out LCD's, LED's and Plasma TV's for few weeks and I was finally convinced with LED Tv's after visiting multiple showrooms.

Budget is open, looking for a 46'' + TV, preference is for LED due to its clarity, brightness, stunning looks etc.

The ones that impressed me were
Samsung D7000
Samsung D6600
LG LW6500

D7000 is pricey and the main difference that would concern me is the looks, except for that D6600 exceeds my expectations in terms of features etc.
LG LW6500 was in fact better than D6600 (by a slight margin) and 3D was also good and comfortable to watch with lighter glasses but I don't like the looks of LG.

My preference is
Picture Quality
Looks
3D Clarity
Features (I have Sony BDP 360 Blu Ray Player, so I am not much concerned about this)
Not worried about speakers too as I am planning to install a 5.1 setup

Price quoted in Chennai for 46D6600 is 1.17L and for LGLW6500 is 1.29L

I am leaning towards D6600, so my question is, have I made a good choice? Any inputs regarding D6600?
Also, is the price quoted right or should I bargain still?
Any other TV suggestions are welcome too.

Both are good in their own ways.
Samsung loyalists will prefer D6600 though the LG offers better 3D.
2D on Samsung is amongst the best with better contrast and blacks. Motion is better. I loved it as soon as I took a demo.
LG has better viewing angles.
Samung looks gorgeous. LG is not too darb; looks elegant due the glass borders outside of the bezel.
Both may have backlight bleeding, inspect it and return if you are an unlucky one.
LG (as far as I have seen) is less reflective. Samsung glossy panel / ultra clear offers better contrast.
If you plan to watch a lot of 3D with family and friends then LG is the option. Comfortable and cheaper glasses. Break one and another can be had for ? 400. There are talks in other forums where LG is set to release a firmware to trasmit full HD to each eye as compared current to half resolution.

D7000 has clear advantage with 3D if not so much with 2D compared to D6660. It is superior to LW6500 in both 2D and 3D.

Bargain hard. 46D6600 should be available for 110K-115K; 47LW6500 for 115K-120K. Ask for freebies :licklips:

Advices and feedbacks are good to narrow down on search and avoid obvious dangers. However, final choice should be based on individual liking and tastes.

There are couple of D6600 andd LW6500 owners on this forum. Do check with them for pros and cons. Mind you that hardly any owner would admit they made a bad choice. Be objective. My advice would be that you take a demo or re-demo.

I have already enquired at Shahs, Vasanth & Co, Ezone and the price varies between 1.20L and 1.25L.
Any other places at Chennai where I can get the TV at a discounted price?

All Samsung 3DTVs of 2011 (D series) work only on Bluetooth 3D glasses

I believe WiFi is built in only on D8000 series (check samsung.in site for more info)

D6600 is identical to the higher end models wrt features. Only the CMR changes. So you would get Browser on D6600 as well

Is it advisable to get the 3D glasses from the US for Samsung D6600 model?

You get 1 year damage protection warranty from Samsung which you may not get if you buy from US. However I believe glasses are very cheap from US so you could still go ahead and buy from there.

Ask for 3D bundle instead of soundbar. Or else buy without soundbar they will give 10-15k discount if you persuade. Best would be to get 3D bundle as it costs same as soundbar. And where have you got the 112k offer?

I got the offer @ reliance digital & next in Mumbai. The offer is from Samsung itself, so I don't know if they can give me an option for 3d bundle instead of the soundbar. Are there any chances for price drop for 46d6600 during Diwali???

How is your experience with 46d6600? Could you share some pro's and con's. Thanks for your time. And is it worth purchasing it along with the soundbar for 110k or should I wait till Diwali for a better price.
