Samsung Plasma PS43E490B3R or LED UA40EH5330R

I want to buy a new Samsung TV. My choices are:

Samsung Plasma PS43E490B3R (43" series 4 model) Rs. 49000 OR
Samsung LED UA40EH5330R (40" series 5 model) Rs. 59000

As per Samsung, Plasma model supports resolution 1024 X 768. I want to know whether it can play Full HD videos directly from USB storage Or what are the options, if I want to play full HD content on above mentioned plasma model?

Also, Plasma model has aspect ratio of 4:3 where as LED model has aspect ratio 16:9. Does it make any impact on watching experience of Cable TV channels or movies ?

I preferably want to go for Plasma model as it is cheaper and bigger in size but I want to clarify my above queries first.

All Plasma and LED tv's are 16:9. Cable is telecast in 4:3 which if viewed on a 16:9 tv will have black bars on either side, or you can stretch to fill the screen which will not look natural but will fill the entire screen.
Full HD (1080p) vs HD Ready (720p) is often misunderstood. Cable will look better on a 720p panel which will play everything. A 1080p panel will look better for watching 1080p content which as of now is only available on bluray. HD channels are telecast in 1080i for which 720p panels will suffice.
All tv's now have support for USB drives and will play most movie formats. It differs from tv to tv on the formats they support.
Samsung is good, but also have a look at Panasonic X50/XT50 plasma tv's...............excellent performers!!!

plasma......only plasmas reach the theater picture standard...led or led/lcds are not even close to the picture quality of plasmas.....
movies are meant to shot for viewing in theater halls........right??
now in a tv display panel it is(theater like picture) the standard for quality...so you decide by side by side viewing that what u r liking plasmas or leds.......
but remember same hd(shd be real hd file) file,ights off,cinema mode on.....now compare side by side.....and let ur eyes decide...
if its a channel....shd be star movies hd/star gold hd..movies now hd......nothing else..
if u like sports star cricket hd...hehe
