Samsung providing extended warranty?

Hello hifians. I heard somewhere in the forum that samsung is offering extended warranty for their tv's.

1. Is it true that samsung is providing extended warranty for their tv's.

2. If so what is the cost of extended warranty for an 40 inch tv and 32 inch tv.

3. What is the extended warranty period.

4. Is it worth purchasing an extended warranty for samsung tv's( I meant to say do they really honour the warranty) and after purchasing extended warranty for samsung tv, does it become better than lg tv's in terms of after sales service.(i.e do they replace panel and other repair or replacement at no cost during the extended warranty period).

Notice nothing for Plasmas? thats why I didnt go for 51E550

Now, I agree according to paper samsung is providing extended warranty on functional parts.
But on real grounds, is samsung's After Sales Service now equivalent to LG.

Does it mean samsung has stepmotherly treatment for plasmas ?

Or Samsung damn sure about that plasmas will last three years without any problem ?????:lol::lol:

It's costlier than LG also..but it's highly recommended to buy extended warranty for samsung cause there is high probablity of panel going kaput within 1 yr of purchase.

Or they are damn sure it won't last for 3 years and don't want to replace TVs for everyone!
