Samsung PSC450 - 50 inch plasma gone kaput..

After 4 years 3 months of functioning, my samsung PSC450 has gone kaput. Samsung is unable to find a part to repair it and hence will be providing some compensation for the same. Any experience of how much Samsung provides as compensation?

Planning to go for Samsung PS51F5500 as replacement.Any idea where I can get this in Mumbai. It is available at snapdeal for Rs.74k.

Any other recommendations are also welcome. 50 inch display is what I am looking for. Budget will be under 80k.

just called up samsung, they are offering 34% of the invoice value.

Good luck! They will ask for a proof of ID, bank details and copy of the invoice. Some guys will come and take pictures of the set and an impression of the Sr. No. Keep everything you got with the TV ready.

I bought lg 42lw5700 on 24 Oct 2011...I found out some issues in it...so I decided to contact LG...as the product was no longer available in the market...LG refunded me 80percent of my money after a depression of 20 percent in almost 3 years..push Samsung for either replacement or increase the valuation of your product.

i would suggest u buy an led this time cuz plasmas would be difficult to find soon,for led tv i can suggest 48w600( sony) and 50as610d(panasonic).hope this helps, even lg sells a 49inch led.

I liked the plasma experience and hence went again for a plasma - Samsung PS51F5500. It got installed today.

Older one is yet to be taken away by Samsung.
