Samsung smart tv vrs LG smart tv

Hello everyone,

I'm a new person here and would like you gurus to clarify this for me.

I want to buy the latest 50 inch Smart TV. Which brand should i go?

It is a straight fight between Samsung and LG.

Should I go in for
50inch Samsung Smart TV
OR
B]50 inch LG Smart TV[/B]?

I can't wait for your responses.

1. Decide your budget.
2. Check what TVs are available in the budget.
3. Do a fair comparison by actual visits and demo to showroom.
4. Choose what you like.

You will find that most TVs have very similar features. What distinguishes them is the native picture quality (PQ). Judge a TV solely by PQ and ignore everything else.

Samsung The newer models have a built in camera, voice control, facial recognition and motion control. It also has much better apps, slightly better 3D quality and much better picture quality. Samsung is definitely the way to go.

One needs to check how much of the so called "smart" features will be useful in daily TV viewing.

I personally hated the Samsung smart features with gestures and voice. They seem to be a hit or miss and not intuitive. Most smart features on TV's are slow and not very useful in their current implementations.

I think its better to look for a TV with the best picture quality while selecting it as just4kix said. You can always use addon's like smart Blu Ray player, PS3 or a device like WD Tv to stream your content. That way you also have the option to upgrade the smart features when better products are introduced in the future and will still retain the best PQ on your TV.

F series has already been launched.. both in LED and Plasma.. but only upto 43" in Plasma and 46" in LED..
