Even though SATYAM is cosidered to be best theater in chennai.

I felt voice clarity in SATYAM 70mm lacks a lot and it needs improvement on sound system.

Today I watched "Manmadan Ambu" the dialogs were not clear at all . Generally Kamal movies will be like that .. :o but i am not saying only based on this movie.

I watched "Enthiran" , "Paiyaa" ..etc. Some how I felt the vocal voice is not clear. The BASS is very heavy and leading to head ache. And the music is not bright and lacks in clarity. I think its because of heavy BASS.

I watched "AVATAR" in SATYAM 70 mm, even that's worst. I dont think i remember any dialogs from "AVATAR" after coming out of theater.Ever my friends felt the same.

I am posting this in this FORUM because, Lot of AUDIOPHILES and experts :) out here , You can share your experience. And by chance SATYAM theater owners see this they can take the appropriate action.

Picture clarity is good in SATYAM 70 mm, but there should be improvement on sound system. I always felt better in SANTHAM theater where BASS is balanced and its enjoyable.

SATHYAM stands out with its excellent picture quality, it has one of the best projectors in the market :D

But when it comes to sound they sure have some catching up to do, some movies are heavy on BASS & for some movies BASS is never present, they surely need to work on their surround systems too :annoyed:

The best sounding theater in CHENNAI is definitely DEVI & DEVI PARADISE, I still can remember the flight landing in the opening scene in the film "3 Idiots", WOW it gave me the feeling as though I was in the middle of the runway :yahoo:

Sathyam in fact is the best in terms of pic quality from what ive seen in any Indian theater.

Devi on the other has a different design(a huge hall without a balcony) which contributes to its great sound effect and hence the sound there is much better than sathyam.

manmadhan ambu is totally used "live recording" as like virumandi. So even escape cinema in EA, i feel the same ,vocal is very bad.

edjamesx...dude, i feel it is better to discuss this issue with the promoters of sathyam, Mr.reddy is a very nice guy he will get things right, rather discussing the sound problem of sathyam in this forum.

i have already sent this link to respective concerned person, and he has also replied to me!!

if you will discuss this issue with them directly i can pass on the info to you

thanks

May be theater should get equipped with the Dolby surround sound like most of the leading theater across the country. In the meanwhile, you can go catch up movies at PVR cinemas

Dont really know about Sathyam Cinemas as I always watch my movies at Wave!!! Sound and video quality is the best there! Seating arena is also excellent! I never really had any such complaints against Wave. It also gives you ample space to stretch your legs.

Hi sathish what u told was absolutely correct. Devi & Devi paradise stands tall for its excellent sound quality & picture quality , even sathyam cannot match the sound quality of DEVI. THE BEST DEVI.

Hi friend

EA is best for its Big malls & attractive theatres. But if u need better Picture & sound Quality u need to visit DEVI.Devi is the best theatre for sound effects.

Pee on your face...

Dear friends,
When I went to the S2 cinemas at Spectrum Mall in Perambur, Chennai for the first and only time last week, I was admiring this latest asset of Sathyam Cinemas. I drooled over the plush upholstery and the near vertical seating arrangement which made me think of an IMax theater. I was in bliss till this happened.. The whole feeling of bright projection and excellent speakers (QSC i think) was spoiled by the sight of a guy, Looked like one of those College punks with filthy bellbots speaking on his mobile phone while peeing, in of all places, into the wash basin..despite the majority of the urinals being vacant. The same gang of guys spat I think "Hans" shamelessly on the costly curtains in the corners. Which brings up the question: Do rats deserve luxury? I mourn the premature fate of this lovely theater which is in danger of being ruined forever.
What can we, as lay people do?
Yours,
