Sennheiser Headphones - very well reviwed

Hi giri
Which review are you telling us to read? :)

There are many, few asking men to marry and ask for dowry and then pay for the headphones ;) :)

"they are like the iPhone of the headphones market!!"

Comment like that just makes me understand that its highly unlikely that even a single review from that site is from an actual owner of the HD800, the reviews are just people having some fun and looks like anyone can write a review in that page if they want. :)

I think GTM intended to point at the fun people were having. The point got lost!?

Anyway, here is a serious micro review of Sennheiser HD800.

It sounds much more relaxed than 650, the model it is supposed to improve upon, but loses on the low level micro details. Highs are more extended and it sounds fuller. Mid-range veil is also lifted. It is also easier to drive compared to 650.

Would I buy it? Yes, if I never owned a Senn and want to add one to my collection. No, if I have a Denon AH-D5000 selling in a nearby store.

Hee hee, I did wonder.

For starters, don't flipkart have the habit of removing a lot of negative reviews? So one would not expect it to be balanced.

I think it's good that they don't remove negative reviews. Otherwise humor will be so gone :D

I think it's principally wrong to edit/remove negative reviews. Yes, they could very well serve a better purpose by letting only buyers add reviews.

But the point is: they are a new start-up compared to their western counter-parts. They are happy people use their platform to write reviews. As of now they need traffic. May be in future they start restricting who can write reviews on their site.

Poor Sennheiser must be wondering what happened on 7th and 8th January 2014 to start this avalanche of reviews! Wonder how these guys would react if they knew there are people spending USD 120K on a DAC??

But nobody on this forum would bat an eyelid at someone spending Rs.1,00,000 on a pair of headphones. We might rue the fact that we couldn't, but only the same way as would feel about Rs10,00,000 or even five times that amount on speakers. It isn't even approaching silly-price audio.

Funny.. this day keeps getting better...first Vashikaran Baba and then the reviews on this link...Wonderful...
Headphone Dowry!!... thats a good one

the reviews are Hilarious...thanks for pointing out :)

On a side note are these really worth the 85k!? Are they really worth the hype?...Freaky..

Many people do say that HD800 is the best dynamic headphone ever released. But, I have been told that you need to spend an equivalent amount on amplification to make it shine. This amp is said to do well with HD800. Some like HD800 with their Invicta as well.

Some do Anaxilus Mod to cut the 6Khz spike. Some buy Copper cables.

In short, it may be worth that money as long as I have deeper pockets to spend much more for a perfect pairing. I was very close to buying it when $-? rates were much saner (and Super 7 was a little lower priced as well), but did not want to risk that huge a money on something I did not know for sure would satisfy me.
