Hey guys,

Anyone have experience in transporting a pair of speaker cabinets (each weighs 33kgs) interstate ? What would be the best mode of transport, does the luggage compartment of a train make sense? Is it safe enough not to cause damage or shipping them thru courier company again theres no guarantee the speakers can't be damaged in transit, right?

Thank you

I have shipped large speaker cabinets using road transport companies. Important thing is to pack in a double packing and finally in a wooden crate. Smaller speakers can be shipped using only double packing.

Bluedart to the rescue, i have got a very good quote from them. Now there's this issue of paying octroi 5.5% on the invoice amount blah blah blah...

Question is how do i declare the value of a used pair of speaker?? I'am buying it from an individual who can't provide me with an invoice and above all they are used 2nd hand.
