I have got a deal of Rs. 55000 for Samsung ps50c6500 for Rs. 55000. Should I go ahead with the deal?

^ If it is not a demo piece then yes eyes closed, that is an excellent tv and that price is a steal.

Yes, that is the right price for the TV and a good product... Unfortunately I dint get that price when I tried..

That is not the right price considering Panasonic 42" v20 sells for 59k. Having that in mind that price offered is a steal for a 50" plasma which is less noisy and offers better picture processing than Panasonic.:)

panasonic 42v20, the selling price is Rs.63000/- to 65000/- box piece. For 59K you may end up in a buying a demo piece only (repacked). caveat emptor, inside information gathered from one of the sales manager of a reputed shop.

I will be thankful, if the info is shared, where you will got a brand new box piece of 42v20 for 59K.

regards

I just read it some where in this forum, my point was that Panasonic plasma is way over priced compared to samsung plasma here in India.

Hehe, I completely agree.. I never liked V20 the way I liked Samsung Plasmas! They are complete package, gives you more value for money with an arguably only drawback of black level and bit inferior panel...

To add to picture processing, it has an excellent media playback when Panasonic SUCK big time despite BOOSTING Full HD USB playback functionality... Its just marketing a an inferior product which eventually have better black level and probably a better panel and thats the END of it (don't hate me V20 lovers but that is my honest review on these so called high end 2010 Panasonic plasmas). I can understand inferior media performance, however picture processing? It just proves Panasonic has inferior R&D Product Development team and they are primarily encashing on arguably better panels...

Talking of this TV, I didn't like the THICK bezel and practically INVISIBLE touch buttons (my OLD Samsung has much better design).
